Did you know there are four different categories of coffee? You've certainly heard of some of them.
The first is Traditional Coffee, a blend of Arabica and Robusta, usually made with a darker roast.
Just above that is the Superior Coffee category, also a blend of Arabica and Robusta, but with more selected beans.
The third category is called Gourmet Coffee, made with 100% Arabica beans.
At the top of the pyramid is the Specialty Coffee category, which is 100% Arabica and high quality. The difference between Specialty and Gourmet coffees is that Specialty Coffee has guaranteed traceability. Thus, one knows where it was planted, how it was produced, what its variety is, and which company processed the coffee, thus having a BSCA seal on all its packaging.
However, Orfeu Specialty Coffees have a differential: during processing and after roasting, a selection is made to find homogeneous beans in terms of color, density, and size. This makes the coffee even more flavorful, homogeneous, and sweet, thus enhancing all the notes and aromas of the coffee.
Come and fall in love with specialty coffees too.
