Quality is also synonymous with caring for the lands where we plant what is most precious to us. Therefore, concern for the entire ecosystem in which the farms are located is essential.
The farms have end-to-end traceability. They are entirely divided into small plots with their own characteristics. Production is uniquely mapped, delimited, and monitored, from planting until the coffee is packaged.
We developed a robust drip irrigation system and use of reclaimed water, which results in savings and conscious consumption. We also use solar energy throughout the production process.
The four farms together have a vast reserve area exceeding 30%, above legal requirements. Fazenda Sertãozinho alone is responsible for planting about 2,000 trees per year, preserving the native vegetation of the region.
All of this, combined with social practices, resulted in certifications that reaffirm the best production practices and working conditions at the company: the Rainforest Alliance seal, which ensures sustainable production and agriculture for coffee production and for the well-being of all our workers.
Due to our good practices and the excellence of our products, Orfeu also received the Ecocert seal, one of the largest organic certification organizations in the world.
