Orfeu's incessant pursuit of quality continues to bear fruit. Excellent fruit, one might say. In this case, with notes of honeycomb and intense florals, emphasizing its striking sweetness. With aromas of papaya, peach, mango, passion fruit, and star fruit. Of medium intensity and bright, citrus acidity; silky body and a pleasant, lingering finish.
It was with this complexity of sensations that Orfeu received its 31st award at the Cup of Excellence 2024, achieving second place among more than 600 Specialty Coffee producers. In the same competition, it also received the “Presidential Coffee” award, granted to coffees that scored over 90 points.
Before reaching 91.89 points in the Cup of Excellence, Orfeu's Geisha beans underwent the most natural and careful processes, always manual and artisanal, with minimal interference in their nature. The mission is to preserve and enhance the complexity of their aromas, textures, and flavors, until they reach the cup of connoisseurs.
All this quality of delicacy, presented by Orfeu's Geisha, is cultivated at Fazenda Rainha, in Mogiana Paulista, on volcanic soil with a privileged terroir, at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, in a true community that breathes good coffee. In addition to planting, harvesting, and savoring.
In celebration of the award, Orfeu is launching a micro-lot with 265 hand-numbered bottles. Geisha is a coffee that, by its very history and nature, is destined to enchant the senses. A rare, elegant, and distinct variety, appreciated and sought after worldwide. And even being so demanding and delicate, it allowed Orfeu the honor of cultivating it and achieving an unparalleled coffee.
