To reinforce its commitment to continuous quality and sustainability, the Orfeu capsule line is now made of 100% recyclable aluminum.
Aluminum is widely used in the food industry for its ability to protect food from exposure to oxygen, humidity, light, and bacteria, ensuring a longer shelf life and preventing unnecessary waste.
In the case of Orfeu capsules, aluminum also contributes to preserving the sensory notes of its specialty coffees and to better performance in beverage extraction due to its resistance to high temperatures and pressure. A protective layer isolates the coffee from contact with the aluminum, creating a safe barrier between the two.
Commitment to sustainability
The recyclability of aluminum is one of its main characteristics. After years of useful life, the material can be reprocessed almost indefinitely, maintaining its original material properties. Each coffee capsule has the potential to become another capsule – or something completely different, depending on the fate of the recycled aluminum.

How does the Orfeu capsule recycling program work?
